So nationals are over and i'll no longer be able to use swimming as an excuse to worm my way out of lessons. From today onwards, i'll have to do my tutorials and go for lectures like everyone else, but unlike everyone else, i'll have to go for make up lessons before and after school. Dammit! I think i'm going to miss how we'll just be hanging around the sports school, relaxing or doing warm ups till we see this:

and then head to the other half pool to continue with what we were doing.
After that, we'd go back to the bleachers and do this:

And every once in a while, someone would come straight from school to cheer us on and give us support. It would look a little like this:

Then all too soon, it would be our turn to report for our event. So we'd go off for our race and we'd do it like this:

Once we were done with all that thrashing about in the water, we got hungry, really really hungry. That's why we went for dinner as a team at New York x2. When we got there, we had to wait for the food so we tried to kill time by doing this:

Once we ordered and the food arrived, we all looked as happy as she did:

After we were done eating, we goofed around some more and then we all went home. That was all done on a Wednesday you see, and that means we all had school the next day. Because i loads of catching up to do, a CA the next day and tutorials to complete, a few of us decided not to leave the place too late. Yup, we're that responsible. =)

Now that that' all over, it's time for me to get back into the routine of going to school and getting through it. It's back to reality!

Heehee. 4 more days till i get to open my present. =)

Seriously, this week feels like the March holidays all over again, what with spending nearly every day with the swimmers and not studying or doing any homework. I like=)
I mean, i know it's my A level year and all, but hey, life's not all about studies.

Anyway, this year at school nationals, i pretty much screwed up both my events. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't disappointed, but it isn't the end of the world either, i'll get over it. Besides, there's still the medley relay and the free style relay =)
Oh, going down to the sports school nearly every day this week has been fun. Be it meeting up at Woodlands to take a bus down to the pool, or going there from school, or even traveling all the way there alone from home.

Despite everything that's been happening, i'm glad that things turned out the way they did.
You know, the whole thing about not knowing 'what could have been' and all that shit.

Love

Hi 5 says "you lose your heart, i'll lose mine". I didn't think Hi 5 could sing songs that had such romance laced in it. Oh right, just in case you were wondering, i only know the lyrics because Kat(she's my 2 year old sister) insisted i play that video over youtube like a zillion times.
Maybe i'll blame her for not letting me get my work done.

It's Never Enough

Can you believe it? Just one more session on monday and i'll never have to train again. I'll never have to carry my bulky pull buoy and shoe bag to school, or waste my time after school waiting for time to pass before leaving for the pool. Neither will i have to cross the overhead bridge in a hurry to catch the bus to the pool and become all sweaty and disgusting, or brisk walk from the bus stop at toa payoh all the way to the pool and become even more sweaty and disgusting.
After monday, i'm going to miss meeting up with the rest before going for training, just sitting around at the grandstand, canteen or the piano at the foyer. I'm going to miss the feeling of getting out of the pool after training, and packing up after bathing before going out for dinner. I'm especially going to miss those on times that we go out on fridays.

It's a bittersweet feeling i guess. I remember how i wanted so badly to quit the team because i didn't think i'd be able to take the training. I hated the sessions so badly and how they kept me up at night because that feeling of dread was so intense. Although i still don't look forward to swimming, i definitely don't feel as strongly as before. The people there are too awesome for me to feel that way towards it. =)

I'm going to miss hating training.

I know this happened yesterday and all, but never mind, better late than never. Right? Right.

Happy belated Aloy!
I hope we managed to surprise you=) the look on your face was classic and i'm glad i hauled my lazy ass down to see it for myself, instead of just relying on videos and photos. Anyway, here's one (i didn't take any of my own so i stole one of christine's. i hope you don't mind).

School tomorrow. It's going to be a drag, what with starting off the week with double GP and all. This week, remedial, extra lessons begin; this week we have tests and piles of homework to face. Then there's nationals in just two weeks. Gosh. I would really wish for April to fly by, just like how this weekend did.

Anyway, Happy Easter=)
